Well WOW

I wasn't even aware Wedding Wire had a Bride's Choice Awards, but they do.  And I didn't know we had won one, but we had.  There were 22 winners under the "Invitations & Favors" category for Philadelphia, Wilmington and Southern New Jersey and we are so happy to be among them!  Thank you to our clients, we couldn't ask for better ones!

From the Wedding Wire site: In its inaugural year, the Bride's Choice Awards recognizes vendors from the WeddingWire Network that demonstrate excellent quality of service, responsiveness, professionalism, value of cost and flexibility. Unlike other awards in which winners are selected by the company, the Bride's Choice Awards are determined exclusively by recent newlyweds (brides and grooms) through surveys and reviews. Our winning vendors have set the bar high for this competition, demonstrating excellent service and expertise in their industry.

Two other companies/owners that I adore also won:  Wedibles and Finesse Custom Embroidery(both for Unique Services and Wedibles also for catering)!  Congrats ladies!

Tricia + Greg

I love the vertico pocket fold.  But, admittedly, I'm a little biased.  I used a blue vertico pocket fold for my own invites and it's always been my favorite.

Tricia and Greg have that in common with me.  They wanted a classic but colorful invite that incorporated a beautiful picture of a blue hydrangea.  The hydrangea was used with their logo and as a background to all of the inserts.

They decided on a metallic blue pocket fold (the pictures do not do it justice), the backing was a metallic silver and the invitation layer, inserts, and logo tag were all white linen cardstock (another favorite).  Take a look!

USPS Price Changes

FYI - from usps.com:

On May 11 the price for a 1-ounce First-Class Mail stamp will increase from 42¢ to 44¢. Prices for other mailing services — Standard Mail, Periodicals, Package Services (including Parcel Post), and Extra Services — will also change. The average increase by class of mail is at or below the rate of inflation as measured by the Consumer Price Index.

Customers can use their Forever Stamps — regardless of when purchased — to mail 1-ounce letters after the price change, without the need for additional postage. Forever Stamps are widely available through Post Offices, commercial retail outlets such as grocery stores, and online.

Prices for mailing services will continue to adjust each May. Prices for most shipping services, including Express Mail and Priority Mail, were adjusted in January and will not change in May.

Jessica + Geoffrey

My husband Jeff has known Geoff most of his life.  They played baseball together  when they were younger.  I myself have known Geoff and Jess for quite a while.  They are an awesome, fun, gorgeous couple.

Since I am a former knottie, I randomly saw Jess on the Knot Philly forum one day.  We caught up and she found out about Voila.  The coinicidence was she was already considering using us without realizing that it even was us.

Her colors were various shades of purples and greens after falling for green cymbidium orchids.  Together we came up with a design of a square pocket fold in a metallic finish, black raspberry color, a sage backing, and white linen invitation layer, inserts, and logo tag.

The colors work beautifully together.  Take a look!
