Business Cards

Here are two of the most recent cards I have designed.  It's important that your business cards portray your vision for your business as well as your own personality.

Bart & Sandy Erwin own a B&B in Ohio (opening Spring 2009) and wanted a picture taken from their house incorporated into the logo.  It is a beautiful scene!  I put it inside a wrought iron sign to give it the traditional B&B feel.

If you are looking for some time away from home, email Sandy@oursunsetplace.com

Cynthia Jones, owner of The Queen's Kitchen, is a fun and loving woman who makes the most unbelievable toffee (among other treats!)  She wanted a card that matched her treat containers and her personality.  So I designed a chocolate brown card with pink dots.  Check her out at http://queenskitchen.net/

See her blog for pricing on holiday gifts as well!  Mmm mmm toffee popcorn!

Tami and Gary

Tami contacted me with a rather difficult challenge: find the perfect striped paper with exactly all of her wedding colors.  After weeks of searching stores and online, I knew that if I was going to give her exactly what she wanted, I would have to make it myself and print the invitation layers together with the stripes.

She liked the idea of an invite with the only insert being the response card and sent me a couple of ideas.  We came up with a booklet invite with a ribbon closure that is glued down the middle of the inside of the enclosure (under the invitiation layers).  When the booklet is opened, the invitation is on the top and the reception information is on the bottom.

With all of those colors, this invitation is definitely unique!

Double Whammy!

October was a busy month for me so I have a chance to post about TWO of my projects today.
The first is Beth & Bryan.  They will be getting married on January 2nd in Philadelphia and wanted to incorporate a logo of the LOVE statue in their invites.  Beth brought me the logo already good to go and I did the rest.  Her colors of black, fuschia and white really pop!

Becky & Elliott are getting ready to welcome twin boys into their home, but first they're being thrown a shower!  Becky showed me the theme for their nursery and I decided to use a double layer flat card for their invites.  The base layer contained all of the party information and is a soft yellow while the top layer was a golden green.  I cut a window in the top layer to showcase the party information and along the right and left side were the bee cut outs.  So cute!

We wish Becky & Elliott the best!

One more thing: It's election day, so make sure you go out and Vote!  It's the most important thing you can do!

Kate + Marc's South Carolina Wedding

Kate was my very first client (thank you Lindsay!). Her and Marc's Save-the-date is featured on my website and also shown below.

Kate and Marc love South Carolina and their flag (and who could blame them, both are gorgeous!) It was my job to incorporate it into their invitations as well as the save-the-date and other wedding stationery.

Using their colors of deep purple, burgundy and white, I came up with a way to display the palmetto and moon design without having it overwhelm the set. The result was elegant.

Melissa and Nick's Destination Wedding

Melissa & Nick will be getting married in September on the beach in Florida. How lucky are they?

They wanted a simple adirondack chair theme with beach colors in a pocket fold layout for their invitations. Here's the result!

Jodi and David

Jodi and David were married on June 21st and had a gorgeous wedding of rose, sage and ivory. I designed their monogram and incorporated it on their invitations, table numbers, paddle fan programs and thank you notes.

What a beautiful couple!

Michelle's Bride & Groom signs

Michelle is having a beach themed wedding this summer and asked me to make simple "Bride" and "Groom" signs for their reception. The finished signs looked great!

Sheila & Shannon's Chinese Garden Wedding

Sheila & Shannon are our good friends and I was thrilled to design their invitations for them. I'm also doing their other wedding stationery, but I wanted to make sure to post these because they turned out perfect.

Sheila initially told me about the Chinese garden in NYC where she was planning to have the wedding ceremony and how she wanted the invitation to give their guests a taste of what was to come. She mentioned having a window looking into a garden scene and possibly using a pocket fold to keep all the inserts in place.

I had the perfect idea for her: a burgundy z-card invitation with gold parchment printed layers and a window cut out for a beautiful painting of the garden. The z-card layout allowed the information to be glued on the invite, a great alternative to a pocket fold.

After showing her a sample of my idea, she was blown away. Below is the completed set.
